A native of India, Ms. Sebastian traded its muggy heat for the dry heat of Arizona when she moved to Phoenix, after obtaining a Master’s degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Kerala. She considers the mild winters of the Valley and the Grand Canyon a fair exchange. Ms. Sebastian was active in the legal field in India and resolved to pursue her Juris Doctor in the States. She received her law degree from Arizona State University in 2010 and is admitted to practice in Arizona. Prior to graduating law school, she worked as a paralegal in the Civil Division of the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office.
Asha Sebastian’s practice focuses on insurance defense, construction litigation, employment law, tort litigation, and state and federal civil rights. She worked previously for a small law firm in Phoenix, Arizona, following a Post-Graduate Public Service Fellowship, at the department of Maricopa County Special Litigation Services, offered through the ASU College of Law. Ms. Sebastian has successfully represented clients in state and federal courts, and has defended employers against claims of discrimination alleging violations of Title VII, the Americans with Disability Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, and the Fair Labor Standards Act.
